Plantacote® Top N 4M
The Nitrogen Boost for Short-Cycle Crops — Reliable & Safe
Plantacote® Top N 4M is the professional choice for container-grown crops requiring a high-performance nitrogen supply over a 4-month window.
It bridges the gap between early establishment and long-term vitality, ensuring consistent growth without the risk of nutrient depletion in restricted pot volumes.
Sustained Growth
Precise 4-month release provides steady, vigorous development during peak growth windows.
Superior Root Safety
Urea-free, nitrate-ammonium balance ensures efficient, stress-free uptake in container substrates.
Maximum Nitrogen Retention
Advanced coating technology locks in nitrogen, preventing costly leaching from frequent irrigation and ensuring the nutrients stay exactly where they are needed: at the roots.
Incorporation
Plantacote® Top N 4M is evenly mixed into the growing media before potting.
Dibbling
The product is placed on the bottom of a planting hole, lightly covered with media before putting the plant into the hole.
Topdressing
The granules are applied to the surface of the substrate. We recommend placing them close to the watering system for best results.
| Crop / Demand | Sensitive (g/l) |
Medium (g/l) |
Vigorous (g/l) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Mid-season nursery stock | 2.0 – 2.5 | 2.5 – 3.5 | 3.5 – 4.5 |
| Perennials (full season) | 2.0 – 3.0 | 3.0 – 4.0 | 4.0 – 5.0 |
| Fast-growing container shrubs | 2.0 – 3.0 | 3.0 – 4.5 | 4.5 – 5.5 |
Attention
Please consider, these are general recommendations which require adjustments in case of specific situations. All dosages are based on unfertilized media; reduce them if other fertilizers are used.
The rate of nutrient releases can vary according to the temperature of the substrate: 4M is determined at 21°C, 15-16°C results in 5-6M and 26-27°C in 2-3M.
